About Cameron Akhavan
The most important part of working in real estate for Cameron is that he truly enjoys what he does. He derives a great deal of satisfaction from helping people, whether aiding someone in selling their home or assisting others achieve their goal of buying a new home in Northern Virginia. He has grown up in this area and witnessed the explosion of people, schools, shopping malls, and of course real estate. He likes living here.
Cameron spent his adolescence in France and attended school in Switzerland. He moved to the Washington, DC area in 1980 and has called it home ever since. He currently resides in Northern Virginia, spending his time with his wife of fourteen years and their two precious daughters, most days just enjoying what Virginia has to offer outdoors. Cameron graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Economics from American University and went on to earn his MBA in Marketing from George Washington University.
Cameron has worked in the real estate arena since 1984. Creative Investment Concepts Inc., a company he established in 1990, took part in a multitude of residential and commercial real estate ventures in the Eastern part of the US. Cameron is currently a full service Realtor and a licensed Mortgage Consultant, whose practice is geared toward real estate transactions.
Cameron works with both buyers and sellers. When working with buyers, he spends hours performing in-depth research to locate the best home for his client, in the location that is right for them. Due to his background in Mortgage Banking, he helps clients determine what they can comfortably afford without putting strain on their finances in years to come. For sellers his main purpose is to get their home sold as fast as possible, at the best possible price, so they can get on with their lives. This is usually accomplished by a comprehensive study of the market to determine the correct price for their property. An extensive marketing campaign is then implemented to attract as many potential buyers as possible. Furthermore, he provides detailed analysis and advice for homeowners to make their property more attractive and presentable, in order to sell in the most expeditious manner.
Another part of his expertise is focusing on residential properties for investment. He assists clients with locating, purchasing, financing and the management of investment property. He evaluates each individual investor’s situation and tailors different investment approaches to meet their requirements.
